The colors on the Yellow Belly Damsel are quite striking. Like a mood stone, this fish turns from dark to bright blue depending on how excited or stressed he is. While not specifically a cave dweller, this species has been known to "rockscape" an intricate set of tunnels (one specimen in particular has been the scourge of a tank). Yellow Belly Damsels can be particularly dominant, and Chromis and Wrasse are frequent targets of abuse. They cohabitate great with most Blennies, Hawkfish, Dwarf Angelfish and Tangs.
