Designed as the perfect reefscaping canvas, REEFER G2 tanks combine REEF-SPEC infrastructure with the freedom to install all your preferred hardware. REEFER G2 systems come with a new and improved water management system, extra-fortified cabinets and aquariums, ReefMat & refugium ready sumps, extended warranty plans, and are available in a wide variety of sizes, to fit any space.
REEFER G2 systems are also the ideal platform for the full “Red Sea Experience”, combining our LED lighting, wave pumps, dosers, and filtration devices into one smart, synchronized eco-system operated via the ReefBeat App.
Red Sea REEFER S-Series | 850 G2 Black
The REEFER-S™ 850 is Red Sea's new super-sized premium reef-ready system and allows you to take reefscaping to another dimension. The 850 is 65cm (25.6") high, 68cm (26.8") wide and 180cm (71") long with a 850 liter (225 gal) capacity. This unit features an all aluminum superstructure, marine-spec cabinet and fortified jet black glass frame. The enlarged overflow box with dual side-facing return pump outlets that provides ideal water circulation in the tanks with flows of up to 10,000 lph/2600gph.
The REEFER-S models come with the unique split-sump system. The main sump is refugium-ready, and has an adjustable-height skimmer chamber, micron filter bags and media cups. The extension sump can be used for a dedicated frag tank, a larger refugium or simply extra filtration. Alternately, the extension sump can be disconnected from the main sump and used as a RO reservoir or for saltwater changes.

Specifications
REEFER-S™ aquariums are constructed from thick, beveled-edge, ultra-clear glass to support their elegant and modern rimless design.They sport an elegant jet-black internal glass frame which fortifies the 19mm thick ultra-clear glass. The aquarium sits on a recessed base that “floats” it above the cabinet, which seamlessly follows the contour of the glass. The marine-spec laminated cabinet that houses the sump, (and in the larger models also includes a dedicated, vented space for chillers) is smartly finished with weatherproof, epoxy-painted doors.
REEFER-S Water Management System
Maintaining the familiar rimless format and clean lines of the REEFER XXL series, the REEFER-S series introduces an enlarged overflow box with dual side-facing return pump outlets and increased surface skimming that provides ideal water circulation in the tanks with flows of up to 10,000 lph / 2600 gph. The new dual return system and the enlarged overflow developed for the 3XL 900 have also been implemented on the REEFER-S line, giving it a new look and significantly improved flow dynamics and surface skimming. Both systems come complete with fittings to attach either single or dual return pumps.
A unique feature of the REEFER-S series is a split sump system that provides unmatched flexibility. The main sump is set for the main filtration functions with an optional refugium chamber and a dedicated adjustable height skimmer chamber. The sump extension can be connected to the main sump and used for additional filtration, as a larger refugium or even as a dedicated frag tank. Alternatively, it can be set up as an independent unit and used as a full-size RO reservoir or saltwater reservoir for automated water changes.
