The “Black Edition” is a special design series that creates a highly efficient skimmer through the use of an upgraded needle wheel Abyzz pump and taller reaction chamber, high volume of air to water ratio, air silencers, a new Deltec developed emergency overflow system and quiet operation with a variable/adjustable DC pump externally mounted for easy service.

Each protein skimmer offers a sleek compact design and incorporates numerous features. The tool less disassembly makes them simple to use and maintain. The innovative safety overflow feature automatically shuts off the air input if the water level inside the skimmer rises, preventing the skimmer cup from flooding.

The footplate design offers a new methodology to water flow within the skimmer, giving better contact time between the air/water mixture without increasing the overall height of the skimmer. This also reduces the chance of micro bubbles escaping into the aquarium and reduces turbulence in the body.
